Platinum Jubilee

Celebrating 70 Years of History and Memories from the Ennerdale Valley and Lamplugh

Earlier this year The Gather was fortunate enough to receive a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund, this enabled us to work with local creatives on a project to celebrate 70 years of local history.

The project is ongoing and will be available for years to come.

Local film maker Steve Wharton has created a documentary film of life in the valley over the past 70 years, the film has captured the hearts of locals and visitors alike with many people returning time after time to watch it again.

FILM SCREENING – SUNDAY 26th JUNE 1.30pm TICKETS AVAILABLE HERE

Local musician/composer Dr Dave Camlin arranged a poem by Ennerdale poet Tom Rawling about ‘belonging’ to the place.

An exhibition of photographs, memorabilia and collectables will be available for all to view from the 5th – 30th of June.

Thank you to players of the National Lottery. Without National Lottery funding this project would not have been possible.
